Offensive, gory and eminently watchable. Eat the Rich is a boot to the groin of complacent, politically-correct filmmaking everywhere. This film is demented.
The Gore-Met :Rue Morgue Magazine
Atkins' creates a new level of shock in the world of indie production, mixing dark humor with terror creating a truly unusual mood.
Cult Movies Magazine
Apart from a few hair-raising set pieces (particularly the first sewer excursion, which is borderline nightmarish), Eat the Rich skews more towards broad, gore-soaked spoofery, including some funny dialogue passages that come out of nowhere
(including one riotous scene with a necking couple in a car that nearly stops the movie in its tracks). The editing is also surprisingly ambitious.
Nathaniel Thompson: Mondo-Digital.com
The finished product moves along briskly, with abundant gore and nudity to satisfy viewers who like this sort of thing and the extras, given over to an entire side of this double sided DVD presentation make the package an attractive buy for the low
budget gore crowd.
Carl T. Ford : Unrated - Cinema Of The Extreme
If you want to see Gore and deviant behavior beyond the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and you like Atkins' other films, you may enjoy this one. This film takes it farther and actually shows plenty of gore, which is not present anywhere in the original and features scenes of sexual abuse and full frontal nudity.
