5 STARS Schizophreniac is the sort of film that if you made
copies of it on unlabeled videotapes and spread them around
town, a state of emergency would be declared. Something like
Schizophrenia is also the reason why I started writing for Film
Threat in the first place. Good thing filmmaker Ron Atkins has
way more screws loose than any other self-proclaimed cinema
terrorist poser out there. Atkins is the real deal.

STARS Atkins creates and sustains a uniquely video atmosphere
of sweaty madness in which viewers will feel like anything
bad or disgusting can happen at any time. Also very good is
much of the direction, lighting, sound and editing.

I can't help but to have some respect
for the director Ron Atkins. He must be aware that he was
creating a movie whose core audience would be deviates, sociopath's,
and voyeurs. Yet he continued to make the movie with no holds
barred. Schizophreniac should come with a disclaimer/guarantee
that something in this movie will offend everyone. The movie
has found a home in my collection , I've already started planning
the "Schizophreniac" drinking game in which you
have to take a shot every time Harry Russo says "Ho'
er" ,which I'm pretty sure is Southside Queens slang
for Whore. Drink up.

Want to see the boundaries of censorship well and truly tested
by depravity, this may be for you! It is a breath of fresh
air to have a filmmaker so willing to stick his neck on the
line in these overly PC times and although questionable to
some, should be applauded.
